Galloway Outpost
where resilience Meets the Wild
Rugged gear for the days you keep going, no matter the weather.
The Roots of the Outpost
Galloway Outpost was built in the real world, in the storms, the quiet resets, and the long days out with the kids.
It started during a time when life felt heavy. The hills became the place I went to breathe again. Muddy boots, cold hands, a camera slung over my shoulder, four kids running ahead on forest paths, that’s where the idea took shape.
What began as photography trips and hill days slowly turned into a vision for honest, durable gear shaped by real terrain and real life in southwest Scotland. No rush. No shortcuts. Just slow, intentional building, the same way you rebuild yourself after hard years.
This brand is rooted in resilience, family, and the wild places that helped me keep moving forward.
Monochrome Mark
The Galloway Outpost logo draws its strength from the land itself. Its topographic contour lines trace the slopes of Merrick, the highest mountain in Dumfries and Galloway, standing proudly at 843 m. The triangle at the centre marks the trig point at Merrick’s summit, a symbol of navigation, exploration, and achievement. In the top‑left corner, 55° N anchors the design to Dumfries and Galloway’s latitude, grounding the brand in its home terrain. Together, these elements form a cartographic emblem that captures the rugged, authentic spirit of the region, a visual statement of adventure, place, and purpose.
