I didn’t build Galloway Outpost from a boardroom. I built it from the ground up, in the quiet moments between storms, long walks with the kids, and the days where life felt heavier than the pack on my back.
I’m a single dad of four, and the hills became my reset button. When everything else was chaos, the forests, the coastline, and the Galloway summits were the one place I could breathe. Muddy boots, cold hands, a camera slung over my shoulder, that’s where I found myself again.
Photography took me deeper into the landscape. It taught me to pay attention to the small things: the way mist moves through the trees, the grit in the weather, the colours only seen when you’re out there long enough. Those moments shaped the look and feel of this brand.
Galloway Outpost grew from real life, not perfect life. From rebuilding, from carrying on, from showing up for my kids, and from finding strength in the outdoors when I needed it most.
This brand is slow-built, intentional, and honest. Rugged gear for rugged souls, for anyone who knows what it means to keep going, even when the weather turns.
